Things to know before selecting your LED Lighting Product

Considering the same example of 20Watts CFL replacing with 14 Watts we are saving electricity of 6 Watts without compromising on the lux level of your bedroom. To be more precise if you want to calculate the annual saving of your bedroom with the replacement of LED bulb you have to do the simple calculation. For instance you are using you CFL 20W for 4 Hrs per day for a period of year and the electrical unit rate is 8 per unit then (20x4*365*8)/1000 =  233.6. Rs 233.6 will be your annual electricity bill for 1 CFL of 20 W. Now if you have replaced it with 12W LED bulb your savings will be (12x4x365x8)/1000 = 140. Rs 140 will be your annual electricity bill for 12W LED bulb. So your annual savings will be 233.6 – 140 = Rs 93 yearly for replacement of CFL to LED.

Savings in terms may look small for the single LED replacement, but the LED lamp life is 3 to 8 times more than CFL bulbs. Ultimately it is also saving your buying’s of at least 1 CFL per year.
